Description

1/48 F-16A kit by Italeri… and rather troublesome, by the way.

This jet was “infested” by small appendixes everywhere that made handling it to work on it a tedious task, and on not few occasions I accidentally broke one of those small pieces, which I had to re-glue.

Besides, jets are flooded with warnings of the kind “don´t touch here”, “don´t press there”, “caution here”, “beware of this there”, “danger with this”, “don´t step here”, “don´t push there”… It invites you to feel confident with these crappy flying things, eh?... F***!!! With so many warnings of that kind they have proven to be as dangerous for their own pilots and ground crew as they are for their enemies!! And there still are people who praise these “flying bombs”…

The F-16 is one of the really few jets that I like, but though this kit was good, it has also given me more than one headache. This Czech F-16 wears special markings with a tiger motif on the tail vertical stabilizer and tail dorsal fins as part of the “Tigermeet” shows that NATO nations organize every year gathering all squadrons from different nations belonging to the NATO that have a tiger as the squadron logo.

Actually, it's a Dutch F-16.  The Dutch marking does resemble the Czech marking a bit, but is discernable by the orange dot in the middle of the roundel (and the different orientation and order of the colours).

Nice job, by the way!
