Description

One of my favourite scenes from the Spanish TV cartoon old series from the 1980s ´Los Trotamúsicos` (an imaginary name roughly translated into English as ´The Globetrotter Musicians`) based on Grimm brothers´ tale ´The four musicians from Bremen`. Here, one of the co-protagonists, cat Burlón (Spanish for “mocker, joker”) in disguise as protagonist of the scene.

Since I give it for granted that most of you have never even heard of this cartoon TV old series, I consider that it is necessary to introduce and summarize this scene (from the chapter ´The fifth musician`) for you.

Two rogue cats who wanted bad to be popstars but who were chaotic as musicians and singers, steal the musical instruments from the protagonists (believing that such instruments were “magic”) and kidnap a mouse friend to Los Trotamúsicos, against whom they try to compete.

The mouse refuses to cooperate with those rogues, and just when one of them gets ready to hit the mouse, there it comes Burlón in disguise ready to “teach the rogues some lesson”… (and since at the beginning he never trusted the mouse so much, that is why he refers to the mouse as “that thing”).

I always enjoyed this scene a great deal, and that outfit suits Burlón so well indeed X) Unfortunately, I failed to find the whole scene in the net to show you. All that I could find was a bit from it in a (really sad) song from the last chapter of the series (when friends depart and follow different roads). Unfortunately, it is in its original version in Spanish, and without any subtitles... You can see a bit from the scene on this drawing by the minute 1:14 here: youtu.be/YBV3hXUKEug
